Are most doctors atheists?
I just wondered.
Answers:
Your impression be incorrect. Science can only go so far, and past that, it can't submit the answers available in philosophy and religion. You may have gotten the impression because those just getting into the sciences, or at lower levels, become enamored of its possibilities. With more advanced scientific expertise, one begins to appreciate its limitations as well.
Quite the opposite, although I know a few who are.
The more you know more or less science, the more amazing it is (all science, not just medicine). Most of us are able to find space in our head for both spirituality and science.
When you see conflict, it is because science is man's imperfect understanding of God's perfect world, and religion is man's unsound understanding of God's perfect word.
No. Where did you get an perception like that?
Over the past 5 years I enjoy come to know 15 different doctors due to my chronic illnesses.
11 were openly Christian, 4 were agreeably Muslim.
In my experience, MOST doctors have deep religious beliefs.
It's been my experience, the more science you know the more you understand that science individual discovers what something or someone has already designed. Doctors tend to be scientific in thought and also know surrounded by intimacy how amazing the biological functions of a human or animal are.
So I find it almost impossible to conceive of how atheism can even exist as a principle in the common man let alone a doctor. I''m thinking you would be easier said than done pressed to find ANY doctors who are atheist.
They might not believe in Christianity or Jesus and organized religions. I myself, don't either. But In my heart I know there is no big rap theory of any kind that is going to explain how a cell can appropriate dead organic material( carbon based foods) and turn it into a duration force thru cell replication and not to mention this cell also knows it's function in the body, animal or plant. That one thing within itself , proves in my head that their is an all knowing existence out in attendance. Plus look at this, Where in the brain are thoughts actually manufactured? I'm not talking in the order of electrical activity, I'm talking about adjectives the processes we do just to carry on a day, working, drinking, thinking, emotions, dreaming. You can take all the chemicals you want and adjectives the laboratory equipment and computers on the planet, but science can't replicate the simplest thought process from these chemicals or any arrangement.
So I'm thinking doctor's might not believe in Jesus, but that doesn't make them atheist
