My parents influence i call for a colonoscopy. (HELP!)?
i have had diareah every other week (it seems) and my parents are "over it" they want me to get a colonoscopy done, but i dont expect that is really nessescary. i think they are over re-acting because they have have to pick me up from school (7th grade) whenever i have diareah. they think i enjoy somehting wrong with me. i think it is what i eat (unfortuenetly, greasy foods, but im not fat). what should i do?

Does it burn? Do you constantly have to walk? If so, it could be a hernia. You should go get it checked.
You may not need a colonoscopy. And if you parents aren't doctors they hold no right to say you need one. They should take you to your physician and share him what's going on. Then he/she can recommend what to do; whether that be changing your diet, starting a medication, or having a diagnostic procedure. Source(s): PharmD candidate
in recent times watch wat u eat and take some pepto bismal next to u
You could other take some Pepto-Bismal to school just within case, as it is not a controlled substance. But, before taking ANY medication to school, you probably stipulation to go to the main office, or form center/nurse (if you have one) and tell her that you would like to appropriate Pepto-Bismol to school. Because of the problem your having (explain to them), and just relate them you might need it during the day.
If the colonoscopy is recommend by your physician, later yes, you should have it done. If it is your parents' idea, then you should speak near your parents and see your doctor. Any time a person has a change contained by bowel habits, it is important to see a doctor. It could be related to food or could be something more serious. If you believe it is related to foods, try keeping a food diary for a month or so and see if indubitable foods trigger the diarrhea. Could be something as simple as lactose intolerance, could be Irritable Bowel Syndrome....or a number of other problems. It is important to discover the cause. If you are using laxatives, it is historic that you stop. The fact that you mention you are "not fat" raised a little flag of concern for me. Lots of race think that using laxatives to force food through your system faster will result in weight loss or relieve to maintain your weight, but this can have serious effects on your strength. See your doctor and be honest with him/her....and follow your doctor's advice!
Your parents want it done or the doctors want it done?
If your parents want it done put in the picture them to take you to the doctor first.
If your doctor wants it done, do it.
Alot of it will be because of food. If you dont want to seize it, then start eating healthy!
the just reason it happens is because your diet is bad!
and a colonoscopy HURTS! At your age you really shouldnt be getting them. i suggest you prove to your parents you can devour better.
good luck! :) Source(s): Family member had one
You should see a doctor and follow the doctor's advice.
Unless your parents are actually licensed physicians they should shut up and consent to an actual licensed physician figure it out. Tell your parents there is a risk of getting a MRSA infection from a traditional colonoscopy - my friend got one from this.
Take it like a man. It couldn't hurt to try.
Could it?
