How to prevent infections surgery...?
I just had some oral surgery done... I had my gums vitally cut open, and chains attached to teeth that were far down. Those chains were next attached to my braces.
Right now, it hurts a lot, but I'm wondering how I can prevent myself from getting an infection. It was bleeding for several hours after my surgery, but it finally stopped. I enjoy a feeling that if I brush it, I will end up tearing my gums again and I'll be bleeding everywhere. Mouthwash is probably gonna sting greatly too, and is probably not good for the new gum tissue.
How can I prevent an infection then? :S

You could use hydrogen peroxide but that might hurt a little too, but all you do beside it is rinse it in your mout, too prevent it from stinginp mix water with it.
don't do anything. your mouth heals super fast. alot faster than the rest of your body. Hydrogen peroxide although does kill microbes does slow down the healing process. don't do anything drastic, you'll be alright.
Ask the dentist that did the surgery. Didn't they provide you instructions as to wht you should and should not do?
Sometimes prophylactic antibiotics are given after that sort of thing, but not always.
Call. It's a very credible question to ask, and you don't want to do anything that is going to delay invigorating.
