Prednisone steroid side effect give somebody the third degree?
I am taking prednisone for ulcerative proctitus and one of the side effects is acne, What can I do to stop/reduce it?

It's a difficult one, and you need to talk to your own doctor about it. I presume you enjoy already been tried on an aminosalicylate such as sulfasalazine. Ultimately, if your doctor has decided that you involve to be on prednisone, then the only further step would be something drastic like surgery. I'd settle for the acne. I was on prednisone for a while for a blood disorder, I put on weight, developed a "swollen" looking facade, and got severly depressed. They effect people differently, I know of several cases where they own caused stunted growth, osteoperosis, and extreme mood swings.

Really there is not much you can do while you are taking it, it will continue to come back as long as it is surrounded by your system. Another side effect from prolonged use is what they call moon face. This is where your obverse gets fat and round like a full moon. This side effect also go away once the medication is stopped.
