Without animal tsting do u have an idea that near would be oodles cures to help out us?

Man, this is difficult. I understand than many many plentiful cures, chemicals and medications as well as surgeries and procedures came as a benefit to humans as a result of animal trialling. As I parent I gotta say that if experimenting on thousands of animals would save the life of my children or a loved one later go for it.
However much animal testing is done by cosmetic companies and home chemical companies( like Pledge, Furniture polishes and other household aids) and those I disapprove of. I do not have an idea that poison should be dripped in a rabbits eye to see if lipstick is colorfast. Nor do I think household chemicals should be administered to animals to see if they work.
So it is a mixed bag and conceivably I am selfish but if it saves lives then OK, if it newly makes a better furniture polish, then no. I am torn and hope I am not a hypocrite.
