Question more or less spermatogonia and o"ogonia?
Can someone confirm for me whether or not the following is correct.
As I understand it, while spermatogonia DIVIDE (via mitosis) into primary spermatocytes, o"ogonia simply BECOME primary o"ocytes. This would mean that one spermatogonia yields two primary spermatocytes, whereas one o"ogonia yield one primary o"ocyte.
Is this right?
Answers:
o"ogonia divide by mitosis just like spermatatagonia but there is an unequal distribution of cytoplasm on oogonia. One oogonia will turn into one oocyte but polar bodies are made and turn into vegetative bodies for the cell.
Yes. I've get an erection.
