Doctors/nurses/PT's -- do you ever find yourselves attracted to your patients?
Has your patient of the opposite gender ever come onto you, or the other channel around?
Answers:
Well, I'm a Colorectal Surgeon, so NO! Source(s): All the men I see have something very wrong with their bums, not a sexy 1st depression. Very nice people but you just can't go anywhere from here, even if it was ethical!
Even if I did, this is about as great a violation of medical nouns as can be. Every jurisdiction that I know of is clear that any romantic involvement with a patient is strictly forbidden and the consequences are dire. It's a very apposite principle because there's no way that a patient can receive proper care when there's more than a professional, patient-physician relationship within. It will usually lead to severe penalties if a physician engages surrounded by this, i.e. board disciplinary action. This is the case for doctors of allopathic medicine (MDs), I don't know what the concord is with DOs.
