Is venous return indistinguishable as preload?

Is venous return synonomous with the term "Preload"?

Cheers for any help
Answers:
No
As far as I can remember, preload is the force against which the heart has to pump blood.

Sorry I couldn't be of much minister to. My physiology is a bit rusty now.
Not quite, but the two are so closely inter-related you might very very well think of them as synonymous for many practical applications.
No it's not. Preload have to do with your left ventricle and venous return has to do beside your right atrium.
