I am a 17 year old girl from the detroit metro area and I come from a dead middle class nearest and dearest. My mom is a nurse and she makes enough money to stay off governing body aid,and pay off the house but not enough to even compensate for 2 years at a community college for my twin sister and I.
To go to Wayne state Medical School for 50 credit hours comes to about 29,000. And plus the other 25,000 to get a bachelors first. I can not come up near 50,000.
So the bottom line here is, how can I become a doctor? How does any middle class kid become one? Is this some unobtainable dream and I need to be more realistic?

I have an educational allowance to attend any ascribed school while I am active duty, and after my discharge (honorable discharge of course) I get my montgomery GI bill, which add up to about 39,000 dollars. You can also work your butt off and get student loans and grant, but that might not be enough if you don't have enough money to start near. Doctors are actually in high emergency right now cause most of them can't afford to put themselves through medical school and even when they finish they start their career with massive amounts of debt. The military is a great option to get a free nurture. I even got a medical job in the Air Force, medical laboratory apprentice.
