"A rush of blood to the head" is a medical residence?

Hi. I am spanish.
"A rush of blood to the head" is the title of a Coldplay's CD
But can anyone tell me if is also a medical term surrounded by English?
Anything like a "Transitory attack of madness" or so?
Thanks.
Answers:
When somebody has a "Rush of Blood To The Head" It means that they do something spontaneously spontaneously without thinking first. They jump straight in, sometimes foolishly
It describes a sudden attack of inspired (or impetuous) thinking, as if you have a surge of blood to the brain. It is not literal.
