What is the hardest branch of drug?
What is the hardest medical specialty?
Bonus question: Which is better in overall do you think? Transplant surgeon or Orthapedic surgeon?
Answers:
Transplant, a lot of pressure surrounded by that field.
The most difficult in my humble assessment are cardiothoracic & neurosurgery.
For the bonus question I think that orthopaedic surgerry is better for me.
The hardest is anything you don't like doing. For me, that would be internal medicine or pediatrics. I find those extraordinarily frustrating.
Transplant surgeons do a lot of work surrounded by the middle of the night (we don't use valuable OR time in the time for harvests). They also see a lot of hopeless cases, and I think after a while, that would be emotionally draining.
Orthopedic surgery can be fun, especially if you like using power tools.
I'd specifically go with ortho. I actually considered ortho (hand specialty), but didn't want to spend a zillion years surrounded by training. I'm glad I chose what I did, although I am still fascinated by hands. Source(s): I anesthetize people.
