100 years ago there was no penicillin. Doctors have recently stopped "bleeding" people to reduce fruitless humors. It was about that time that anesthesia was discovered.
Today amazing and complex surgical procedures are commonplace. High tech devices can see into the body in need cutting. Many diseases are under control or reduced to near non-existence.
100 years contained by the future our present civilization will be gone but some of today's knowledge will still survive. High tech medicine will enjoy vanished.

Anesthesia is much better now; 100 years ago they used ether and nitrous oxide. Sterile conditions improved; medical imaging includes CAT scans, MRI, ultrasound and adjectives the magnificent computerization that aids in diagnosis. There are now thousands of surgical and medical procedures done today that weren't even close to human being on any physician's "radar" 100 years ago.
Tomorrow: genetics will have thousands of absolute CURES for cancer in need toxicity of today's oncology drugs; we may have some tissue and nerve regeneration possibilities within 100 years we don't have now; newer imaging procedures will detect more fatal and harmful cancers quicker.
