What is a PAD trial for circulation is it blood work?
My doctor (family doctor) said I need it cause my feet be cold when she was touching my feet to see how cold I get.
Answers:
Sometimes PAD is an acronym for at a tangent arterial disease. If there is a vasculitis or any vasculopathy (inflammation of an artery, for example) it can really narrow the arteries which supply blood to your legs and feet. There are several different kinds of tests (some of which are noninvasive while others invasive) to get a sense of whether in attendance is underlying vascular disease. Without knowing more, this is my best guess at what the physician was referring to. There are many conditions which may cause lateral vascular (or arterial) disease so the family physician may simply wish for you to have a tryout done to see if your cold feet are, indeed, a product of narrowed blood vessels or something else.
