Theres be blood within my urine for over a year. Have done check and my urinologist read aloud this is typical for me?

this happened to me a couple of times in football it lasted a couple of days the doctor said it be a bruise on my kidney bleeding into my bladder but its not serious and if your doctor cleared it i wouldn't worry if its been going on for a year its probably not serious.

It could be normal, however. Not all cases of haematuria are serious and need to be treated. Blood contained by the urine could be caused by any number of things from hard exercise, to antibiotics you may be taking, to infections, to liver failure. In young-looking people, the most common causes of bloody urine are kidney stones or urinary tract infections, but since you would probably know if you passed a stone, and your doctor hasn't told you you've get an infection (which I'm sure you'd realise as well), then you might just have a casing TBMD, which just means the membrane of your kidneys is thinning. TBMD causes asymptomatic haematuria, and does not inhibit average functioning of the kidneys.
If your urologist says this is "normal", perhaps you should get a second inference, or ask her or him to explain what s/he means by that, and what's causing the haematuria. You might just be squishing your poor bladder for a moment too much.
