How much does it thing what time you transport your antibiotics?

I'm taking penicillin and the doctor said to take it at regular intervals 4 times a day. I started off taking it every 4 hours during the hours of daylight, then none at night while sleeping. I've just looked at the notes that came with the pills and it says to appropriate every 6 hours, so including during the night. I've been doing it abit wrong and I'm now on sunshine 2.5 of the one week course. How much does the timing matter? Will this have altered the effectiveness?

Four times daily dosing in a hospital is usually: 9a, 1p, 5p, 9p - so, you are not that far past its sell-by date.

Keep taking the antibiotics as prescribed and for the entire prescribed amount of time. (usually 7-10 days for penicillin) Check the label on the bottle the pharmacy gave you for instructions.
