What part/s of the brain are involved contained by perception?

Specifically the "I"/consciousness if that makes sense. The part of our brain that processes for example if our mum walks within the room the part that makes us know its our mum as opposed to someone else(not our eyes) but a bit perception and also like the part of us that for example decides "i'm going to read something".I guess its our awareness or the module of use that we call "ourself" .I hope that made sense
Thankyou
