Vicodin and percoset within low dose risky to mix?

I had surgery on Monday. My Dr prescribed me Percoset (5/325 mg), 1 or 2 every 4-6 hours as needed for pain. Yesterday, he changed me over to hydrocodone 7.5/500 mg (weaker I guess?) at 1-2 every 6hrs as needed. I hadnt needed anything all light of day, but started hurting really really bad tonight. I took my last percoset and decided to help yourself to 1/2 of a hydrocodone tab as well since I was hurting so bad. I thought they be basically the same thing until reading on here (should hold done so BEFORE taking it!) that they can be fatal when mixed together. I freaked out and asked my dad (former RN).. he said it was fine, but Im still reading online that its NOT and Im panicking. Being that it be low dosage mixing, should I be worried?

Both the drugs are narcotics and the doses that you're stating don't appear to be dangerous, the warning you read is probably in that to combat unintentional overdose using different generic equivalents so no need to worry unless you start outlook nausea, euphoria or drowsiness!
