What are adjectives question asked by surgeon contained by OR?

i am medical student. i am going to see surgery very soon. what basic things (theory )should i know? what questions be asked for you? example: calot's triangle ....
Answers:
KNOW THE ANATOMY of whatever is being operated on. It's adjectives to be asked to identify structures.
Know something about the condition that leads to whatever surgery is stirring. If it's a thyroidectomy, read a little bit about thyroid tumors. If it's a cholecystectomy, know the indications for the procedure. Stuff like that.
Know how to tie knot, two handed and one handed - then they might tolerate you sew.

Other helpful tips:
Be careful about not compromising sterility.
Don't piss stale the OR nurses.
Stay out of the anesthesiologist's way, unless you ask if you can be in his/her space.
If the surgeon starts swearing, shut up and stay out of the way.

Just so you know, medical students are NOT an asset contained by the OR. Know your place. Source(s): I live in operating rooms.
theory is different from practicals
