My doctor perform a surgery that should not own be,?
I recently had surgery to open up my sinus passage that were blocked by scar tissue and not draining properly. This was to help out with a horrible problem I have with headache. I have been to neurologists, nurtrionists, chiropractors, physical therapists, eye doctors, etc. The doctor informed me this be the problem, this would be the cure. I was so happy to finally have an answer. After the surgery I have many issues. The most serious being the bacterial infections, (staph, bacillus, etc.) I ended up seeing an infectious disease doctor who is also an ENT after my initial doctor could not remove the infections.
The second doctor requested the CT report from my original doctor and to my horror the report was clean. I have no scarring, improper draining, everything was CLEAR. This doctor asked if I had ever see the report and I said I hadn't. He told me that I needed to take a copy with me. I was so disappointed that I have not seen that report or even go to get a second view. I am upset with myself for not being a better advocate, but I am angry beside being taken advantage by the first doctor. I have at least possible $12k in medical bills I still have to pay for a surgery that be not warranted.
If I didn't still owe money I probably would let it go. Does anyone own a suggestion on how to procede?
Answers:
yeah, you really obligation to seek a good lawyer! Make sure you look the general public up before choosing one! good luck and I'm sorry you went through this.
Seriously, I'm sorry that happened to you but i would hope a lawyer out about this one. Source(s): personal opinion
I'm sorry to say it, but before EVERY surgery, even minor procedures, you sign off on a sheet acknowledge that things like infections and complications can happen. You agreed to have the surgery, and signed sour on the risks. What happens after that may be unfortunate, but there is really no road to win a case like that in a court of tenet, especially after an ENT marked everything as clear.
EDIT: I didn't see ANYTHING in your story saying that the first doctor be deceitful. You had the procedure done, you got an infection, and you be recommended to an ENT specialist to cure the infection. There is no indication of malpractice there, and if the ENT doctor read your CTs and they were clean, you are not going to win this travel case and you'll be wasting your money trying. It may suck, but those are the risks that go along with surgery.
