Is it better to steal a powernap and afterwards study or be tired while studying and afterwards sleep?
I came home from school and I'm tired but I have lots to study for. Should I rob a nap now or should I force myself to study and rest when it's bedtime?
Advice based on experience, observations, and biological acquaintance is welcome.

Study now afterwards sleep. studies have shown that you retain more of what you study right before you sleep. also it will be better in the long for your sleep programme to sleep at night. If you nap now you may not discern likee sleeping at bed time.
take a nap first. intuitively, if i'm sleepy and try to study all i do is think about sleeping and don't focus on what i'm trying to study so next theres no point. be sure to set your alarm...maybe you can take a power nap(20 minute nap) to get the sparkle you need.

Just take a 20-45 minute nap but not longer than that because later you'll be in a different rem cycle and be more tired.
in my experience - it really depends. Most times I need to be rested as I wont retain any of the information. However - it always threw bad my sleeping sched. None the less - I made it threw.
