i dont know
Although NJ RN is generally correct about needing long residence exposure to barbiturates, your case may be different. Since you have be abusing benzodiazepines, you probably have built up a tolerance and you would likewise enjoy been given a larger dose of phenobarbital than a barbiturate-naive individual. Both barbiturates and benzodiazepines works at the same receptor, there is cross tolerance. I believe that the answer of whether you will step through withdrawals depends on several factors:
1) How much benzodiazepines were you on?
2) Were you given a titrating dose of barbiturates?
3) Were the barbiturates snappily stopped or gradually decreased?
4) Did you exhibit cross-tolerance to the barbiturates?

If you were on a much complex than starting dose of barbiturates and were not decreased gradually, you may exhibit equal type of withdrawal effects if not worse.
If you only took it for a few days, you should be fine. Usually you only have problems from long standing drug use next to the barbiturates. Good luck. Source(s): NJ RN
