Real NeuroSurgeon Salary?
I am very confused by the numbers i get on here for the salary of a neuro surgeon. I own found out that national averages lowball it quite a bit, Does anyone know a credible REAL source that can help me to attain this information. Also, i am not interested in the job becasue of the money, i would just like info on the career, and i don't know any neurosurgeons. Thank you for your support.

it takes a minute to get the info you want, but it is very specific- results by location, also provides a scale with the mean values-- and i believe the site also has "work outlook" which gives statistics on amount of people employed, any predicted shortages, etc
The Allied Physicians survey put a range for neurosurgery of $354k to $936k and the average was $541k. I agree that different surveys often produce terribly different statistics! A good way to find out a realistic numeral is to look at job listings. I just looked at several sites and found that $400k to $700k is a good broad range. I saw some that were less and some that be more (there were even listings in excess of $1m). I hope this helps!
