I believe that embryonic stem cell research is wrong and can be conducted with bone marrow and umbilical cords' stem cells as opposed to stem cell from embryos...
Regardless I do not believe that the government needs to be involved and funding any of it.
Creating a baby just so you can kill it is murder,aside from that,its pointless and a moment ago plain STUPID !
we KNOW adult stem cells work, ( that's what a bone-marrow transplant is,after all,and we've used it successfully for 30+ years) We can just "hope" the baby cells work,and the exact same cells can be harvest from umbilical cords,so creating babies just to kill them is just not fundamentally bright...

In my feelings, ethical concerns are totally unfounded, if they think a stem cell should not be created or manipulated because they could potentially create a human linfe afterwards what about mature cells studies? It's proven that matured cells like those extracted from a simple biopsy sample could also potentially create a unharmed human individual.
Besides, stem cells are only that, cells, they don't constitute a centralized nervous system, a circulatory system or a primitive digestive system to be considered a living form and can't develop independently.
I think in the adjectives there won't even be the necessity to use stem cells to research because there will be methods to reprogramm matured cells to anything needed but for now it's important to preserve researching with these cells without unfouned ethical interference.
if we dont have stem cell research and rely only on a donar, there is the accidental that your body will reject the new marror and then your pretty much done for because your own has adjectives been removed :(
