On House this week, why did they enjoy to stop that woman's heart since doinga an MRI?

I watch this show all the time, and I swear they do MRIs on hearts adjectives the time without stopping them. I get they couldn't do a biopsy because of the whole no skin item, but I'm confused about the stopping her heart for three minutes thing.
Answers:
they needed to examine her heart but she was contained by too critical of a condition to operate on, so they stopped it to get an image of it to see if there be anything wrong with her heart
Simple, DRAMA. very little of the details of that show are realistic, they do things to make it more dramatic and to obtain people to watch.
They had to stop the heart so the muscle will stop moving because what they be trying to find was something that can only be seen without blemish still
IT"S FICTION, PEOPLE!

When a heart stops in the MRI machine, it's a doomed to failure thing. We call it "cardiac arrest" and start resuscitative measures.
Although I don't watch this series on tube, I can promise you that imaging of the heart with MRI is done all the time. Exquisite pictures of the heart that are diagnostically useful are done within pretty much every major medical center. Echocardiography (utrasound of the heart) remains the gold standard in expressions of imaging mostly because of its longevity and amount of solid data that's been gained to solidify it as the imaging modality of choice. Gradually, as more centers gain cardiac MR software and more cardiologists become comfortable next to it, it will come to replace the greyscale images that we see with ultrasound.

To your point, you are exactly correct that there is no object that the heart cannot be imaged with the heart beating normally. With an irregular heartbeat, e.g. a-fib, you'll run into trouble getting well brought-up pictures and perhaps that was the scenario (I'm only speculating here) but otherwise you can use special technique to gate the images acquisition to the hitting of the heart. If the heartbeat was regular, then you could still get brilliant descriptions by gating it to the ECG.
