Hypothyroidism, Severe Symptoms near Synthroid?
A year or two ago I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, and was put on Levothyroxine (Synthroid). I'm sixteen, in a minute. Since then, I began to develop a lot of different side effects, I suppose, but never did anything roughly speaking them. To list a few: severe confusion, severe memory loss, severe symptoms of hypoglycemia, fatigue, muscle cramps, cold intolerance, irritability... the main three that are just too annoying to live near are the first three. My doctor has told me that the symptoms of hypoglycemia are unrelated, as well as everything else more or less. I grain t-e-r-r-i-b-l-e. Could it be the medication? Could these be symptoms of intolerance to the drug? Can Synthroid cause side affects such as these? What do I do?

I am fifteen years old, and i was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism give or take a few a year and a half ago. I was aslo originally put on synthroid, and took that for a little smaller amount than a year, but was immediately taken off becasue of my fearful side effects. Mine were different from yours, they included heart palpitations, hair loss, weight gain, and hot and cold sweats. I be then put on a drug called Armour Thyroid, and i have immediately been taking it for a little less than a year. Changing to Armour Thyroid is the best article i have ever done, I now have no symptoms, and grain soooooo much better. I highly suggest that you talk to your doctor about switching your medication to Armour Thyroid, it made a huge difference for me!
Those are symptoms of hypothyroidism which is what you have already. Perhaps you need the dose of synthroid to be increased. Your doctor should know in the order of this. Those are classic hypothyroidism symptoms...
If anything, your dose needs to be raised. Almost adjectives of those symptoms can be related to hypothyroidism. These are classic hypothyroidism symptoms - intolerance to cold is one of the more defining ones.
