What to do when you don't hold a inherited physician and want to see a doctor?
Want to see a doctor but It's not an extreme emergency but I need to take my child today to a doctor. We don't know any family physician. Do I still stir to an emergency or how it works here in the us? Child cough and have fever. upset with swine flu

An urgent care clinic would be your best bet. Emergency departments will, of course, be in good spirits to examine your child, but you'll be exposing a lot of other people to the virus, and since it's a low-priority (to them) illness, you may own to wait a few hours to be seen. They do have to treat on the justification of severity of illness, not first-come, after all. The concept of sitting in a waiting room next to a sick kid is not a pleasant one.
you can call your insurance company and they can give you a list of doctors who adopt your insurance and you can pick from that. but i would probably go to the e.r if its an emergency and they'll probably tell you to follow up with a physcian stop by and you can ask them to reccommend one to you. hope the youngn' feels better.
