Information for treatment of non-epileptic seizure for my brother?
I must give a little background roughly this first in order to prompt a proper response, so please bare beside me. About 5 years ago, my brother started to have seizures. He went to the emergency room and it be determined that he has a large blood vessel growth at the base of his brain. His prognosis be very grave, but he had the surgery. His ability to speech, walk, and take care of himself be severely affected. Since his operation, there has be some improvement, but due to his situation, he has had 2 strokes and numerous more seizure. There is absolutely no warning when they come on. He becomes completely insensible of his surroundings, hears nor sees anything. He has have all the normal tests done, which hold revealed very little.
I have seizures myself. 20 years ago, the doctors I be seeing said that I was having mini seizures. She determined that by putting this contraption on my director for over 2 weeks that kept taking pictures of my brain waves 24 hours a day. When she read the information, she be able to determine exactly when the attacks were taking place, even when they be too small for me to notice. I cannot recall what this device was, but I consistency that this could be a tremendous help for my brother if something like this could be used for him in command to find out exactly where the attacks are taking place in his brain, what is cause them, and getting more exacting information as to when they are coming on before they reach a point of no return. Perhaps this way his treatment could be enhanced, give his poor wife a badly needed break and improve his part of life.Hospitalization was not required of me while the testing be done on me. Could someone please help me obtain the information that I need within order to help my brother as to something similar that he can be tested with? sounds exactly similar to me. the strokes and seizures and so one. this is a simple strategy that will make life straightforward easy as you want but does takes work. everything needs to be kept track of. The seizure plain ole suck but with my experience of all the things you can do, you will get results if you put the work into it. Your brother have to want it more then anything and has got to acquire to a point in his life where he will do anything to take better. I bet it is safe to say the strokes are from the seizures. God I quality so bad because I know how this is and had my second stroke about 2 or 3 months ago and they opening you up. For seizure control try try try and try if you need a different dr. try a different one. different med? try a different one. pop, cigarettes, alcohol, marijuana, even foods can cause them, so this is why you call for to keep track of these things. it is a lot of work but what other choice is there. the contraption speak of nouns like an EEG, or electroencephalogram it measures and records the electrical activity of your brain by using sensors. It is valuable sometimes but other times I have to say that the machine is not 100 percent so if a dr. say the EEG did not show anything well? try it again or something else. Life is so short and this is so hard on your brother. All I can do is tell you everything I hold done to get this far and I will give you all I hold. A long 9 years, 40 or 50 ER visits, life flight Helicopter rides. Ambulance rides, intensive care a few times. Your experience is not plausible to translate well to your brother's. He's likely to wind up requiring some mix of the standard anti-epileptic drugs that'll be determined as much on a trial-and-error justification as anything else. Not very satisfying an answer, but that's the way these things unanimously work out.
