Answers:
You'll probably enjoy to finish a bachelor degree at a University, which takes 4 years.
Then you'll have to attend a Medical School for 4 further years.
If you want to continue your education, residency can take 3 to 4 auxiliary years.
So, in summary, it takes 8-12 years, under the assumption that you are agreed into a Medical School on your first attempt(s)!
With respect to tests, there are many. MCATs call for to be written before attending Medical School, and additional tests want to be passed in order to practice medicine.
Salaries are terrifically good. Many doctors make over $100,000 per year. Specialists and those that continue their childhood can make much more.
Also, yes, the job is stressful, but how stressful it is depends on what kind of doctor you are. Some medical field are more stressful than others. Source(s): Medical Doctor

internship - generally 1st year after med school
test almost every year or few years for life - get used to it! :-)
salary stable and vary by subspecialty (surgery versus medicine vs pediatrics vs radiology, etc). overall, between 7-12 years AFTER finishing college. i am an orthopaedic hand surgeon and spent 11 years after collage doing med school, residency, and later fellowships.
