Answers:
Not sure about that one for cefazolin, but the others are adjectives relevant to potential side effects of the particular drugs, or to see if the drug is working.
- stomach ulcer/bleeding, relevant if pt is getting NSAIDs which can cause or worsen them
- constipation, etc, relevant to side effect of iron tabs. Hgb etc relevant to whether iron tab are working
- Hgb etc relevant to diclofenac because you worry about side effect of GI bleeding (same as the first one--diclofenac is a strong NSAID)
- pain relevant to seeing if the IV morphine or doesn`t matter what you gave the pt is working. If it's not, then the doctor needs to lay down more or order something different, or re-assess the pt to make sure there isn't something worse going on (I've made this mistake before)
- circulatory/respiratory status relevant to side effect of Nubain which can create someone to stop breathing if you give too much.
Are you taking any kind of nursing, pharmacy or related courses?
The defence for these questions is so that you can answer the correct answers, and the relevance and importance of each individual answer will be grade on how you answer the questions.
In other words, you need to know HOW specific areas of the body affect certain systems surrounded by the body.
