im 16 and w're having a blood drive at school and i'm thinking about donating blood but i revulsion needles. is it painful? and do u feel dizzy after you're done?

But if you have low iron in your blood (a way to speak about is to rub a gold ring across the back of your hand na dif it leaves a purplish trace, you enjoy low iron) you might get woozy afterward, they'll probably give you a sugar cookie to combat that.

I've never given blood but my mum has several times and she say it doesn't hurt and it's not scary as long as you look away. She's never felt dizzy afterwards either, they cause you sit down and have a drink for like half an hour afterwards anyway. And if you step through with this congratulations, you're saving lives =)
Edit: To the person who mentioned low iron, they don't permit you give blood if your iron levels are too low, for your own safety and the usefulness of the blood. They'll donate you a blood test first.
