How long does it hold for xanex to bring out of your system and how can I achieve it out surrounded by 24 hours?
I had to put our family pet to sleep and my husband has a prescription for xanex and give me one to help me sleep because I was really upset. I have never taken this until that time and don't want any lectures just help. I have a duty interview tomorrow. I am a stay at home mom and have not worked in 4 years. I really need this duty. How can I make sure it will not show in a drug test?

Sorry to hear about the loss of your pet, I know how stressful that can be.
I wouldn't worry too much roughly speaking the drug test, they normally only turn out for the "Drug of the Month", or what ever is most commonly abused. The more drugs they screen for, the more it costs the company. I don't think Xanex is going to be very giant on the list of drugs... they are more concerned with cocaine, marijuana, meth etc.
I worked as long as I could before i have to go on full disability, but the last 3 years I had four or five drug test and was on the maximum dosage for vicodon every 4 hours along with sleeping pills at night... zilch ever showed. I drink quite a bit of coffee and usually had consumed at least three or four cups earlier I knew anything about the drug test, that may enjoy helped. I wouldn't worry about it, budge to the interview with confidence and if you do fail a drug test they will know what it is and may ask you in the region of it, if so just tell them the story. If they are pet owners they will understand, save it probably wasn't that great of a job. <Good Luck>

I have some bad news. Xanax (alprazolam) and its metabolites will be detectable within urine for approx. 7 days. There is nothing that will speed up the excretion. Source(s): Pharmacist
I am not positive but I don't surmise you can get it out of your system in 24 hours. your best bet is to go to GNC and buy a drink call "stip". My friend works there and when I had a drug test he told me that be the BEST product they had and do not settle for detox pills because they are a waste of money. However, the drink is a bit pricy (around fifty dollars). If you are worried about a drug assessment for this interview I recomend diluting your urine. to do this simply drink a lot of water, tea, basically only just liquids in general, however no alcohol or sugary drinks as these willcause your kidneyes to filter out the alcohol/sugar instead of the xanex. Drink the water/tea VERY frequently. you should be going to the bathroom around every hour the night before and then more or less every 20-30 minutes a few hours leading up to the test. The only drawback to this is that they might query the results due to the diluted sample and ask you to take another test, but at most minuscule it will buy you a bit more time.
