If your Doctor have dosed you correctly, the levothyroxine will replace what your body normally would have made. You will neither gain nor lose weight. Slight counterweight swings either way is perfectly typical during dosage adjustment. Source(s): Pharmacist
Well, being hypothyroid (not having enough thyroid hormone made by your body) can slow your metabolism down, produce you feel fatigued, cold, and generally crummy, and gain weight, so plentiful people who get that corrected by taking thyroid hormone do find some modest weight loss next to it, but not everyone. If you're already thin, I don't think you'll be loosing so much weight as to receive your unhealthy with the thyroxine, so I wouldn't worry roughly speaking it, just take the meds and see what happens, if you do enjoy problems with it (which is pretty uncommon) then discuss it with your doctor at that point.
Yes. Weight gain or loss is simply calorie intake vs consumption. thyroxine will increase your basal metabolism but gaining or losing weight depends on how much you eat and how influential you are. Source(s): med student
Yes it is possible because I have taken it for yrs and have lost no weight unless I dieted intentionally. It will one and only make your levels normal.
