Is my daughter ingestion satisfactory?
I have a 16 year old shes been on a diet shes 5'6 135 pounds..shes lost resembling 20 she was 165.But now shes on a extremely strict 800 calorie a day diet shes eat
When shes wakes up- apple/orange
Lunch-shes drinks a glass of crystal light tea and a yogurt
Dinner-shes eat a 250 calorie lean cuisine or less
After dinner she eats a Light Fruit cup and then a small bowel of special K
that's adjectives every single day...and she wont drink any water...she says shes not thirsty
Answers:
800 calories is pretty darn low.
The body needs 1 Cal/kg/hr
Your daughter (61kg)*24hr*1Cal/kg/hr = 1464 Cal
That is AT REST meaning almost bed-ridden. Usually you add nearly 50% to account for normal activity plane as well. Even so, she could have twice what she does now and still lose bulk w/o there being a danger.
Additionally, she desires to have water especially if she isn't eating that much. You can individual make your urine so concentrated to conserve fluids. You can go a month w/o food (an average person) but only a few days w/o hose... besides, water is tasty.
I am not sure what is in lean cuisine, but I am spot on that the nutrition of that day is entirely inadequate for vitamins and possibly for amino acids. Get her to take a vitamin as ably each day (for starters).
At least she is getting a yogurt per daylight... it would be a shame for her not to build her bones in these years when it actually matters, but the time she is contained by her mid 20s there is no additional appreciable mineralization.
she 100% needs to be drinking water!!
I dont actually know bulk in pounds?? kilos perhaps.
The FDA reccommends that women intake between 1500 to 2000 calories a day, depending on entertainment. (does she exercise-if so, then she needs more), height, counterbalance. Less than 1500 calories a day will slow the metabolism.
if she is still trying to lose weight i can see why she is eating so little.
Maybe narrate her that the feeling of hunger you sometimes get is actually cause by dehydration. you are actually thirsty, not hungry. it might not get her eating but at lowest she will drink.... Source(s): uni
Please acquire your daughter help now, before it get worse.
The eating habits are just gonna bring worse and more obsessive if she continues on like this. Her period's gonna be gone, the hair's gone, next entity you know she has brain dystrophy. I should know, I was an ana a few years ago.
So please, if she refuses to listen to you return with her help immediately before the situation get a hell lot worse.
800 calories a day? 16 years antiquated? Not long and she'll lose her teeth, hair, and more. Let her eat more, tell her to do exercises. And relate her to drink lots of water. Source(s): My brain
If this is REALLY about your "daughter," you would know that 800 calories a day isn't enough.
ANY "mother" would know this! ! ! ! !
I aim, come on! I have a 19 MONTH OLD BABY, and she is supposed to eat at least 1100 calories a time.
You (I mean YOUR DAUGHTER) need some help. Exercise instead of adjectives yourself (I mean herself). Source(s): Mommy knows
If your child is eating bowels, she's got more problems than you deliberate.
She is going to start losing her hair, then teeth. She requests to recognize that she is still growing. Eat more, play more, more fiber, more protein, more movement
