How environment affects chest diseases?

i need it in medical term, as surrounded by pathophysiology... n specifically effects on bronchiol asthma. i tried looking over the net but found nothing regarding the concern. any help would be much appreciated.
Answers:
environment can irritate the bronchial lining, causing inflammation which is an underline problem with asthma.

Allergens can cause the mast cell pool liner the bronchial tree to release histamine which adds to the problem.

Interesting fact: when antihistamines became available short a prescription the container was labeled that the medicine should not be taken by people beside asthma. More than 30 years later the FDA did a review of the literature and could not find any reason to justify that statement. They afterwards asked the drug manufactures that printed the warning about it and they did not know why any.

Question: Why did they put this warning on the box?
almost at level three :D:)
