Are within any serious long possession consequences to taking ibuprofen on a regular principle?

I take generic ibuprofen probably about three times per week (typically 3 tablets at a time), usually just for headache or minor aches and pains. I don't really need to take them as the pains are not that desperate, but I prefer no headache to a minor one. I'm just curious if this kind of ibuprofen use could lead to any serious long possession problems for my health?

I would appreciate answers by medical or scientific professionals, preferably backed up by studies and/or first appendage experience. In other words, I'm not looking for what your one friend told you or something you think you may have read one time in People magazine.
