HELP ME! Very terrified here! Liquid Tylenol Possible Overdose?
ok so im 16 years old and male. Ive had this really desperate cough for days now, so ive been taking tylenol am and pm(the liquid features, its blue for am, and tan brown for pm) anyway. i read on the bottle it could cause liver damage and i am extremly worried right now. I cant remember the last time i took it. But i had the exact recomended dose int he morning at 10 am. and a short time ago barely took the pm kind right now at 10 pm. ive be taking 2 doses a day, for like 3-4 days, just for cough. Could this be cruel.
'im freaking out. so far i dont feel any pain or anything, exept im getting a little sleepy because its for pm.
could i die of this, im really worried.
also, is it fruitless to use both the am and pm together, in one day, like the am for morning, and pm for darkness? please im really worried and i dont want to get liver damage. btw i weigh 235 pounds, so since im a bit heavy, could that lend a hand me out or what? k thanks!

doesnt seem to be a fatal overdose.
You are fine. It is Tylenol. Tylenol is the weakest of all medicines. If you drink 4-5 bottles surrounded by 1 sitting, you might be looking at a messed up time, but a few doses a day is no problem. And being heavier is also good too. But don't verbs, you have nothing to worry give or take a few. Source(s): drinking a whole bottle of Tylenol AM within 12 hours
You should call your doctor concerning your cough.
It doesn't sound resembling you've taken enough Tylenol to hurt you but it can cause liver damage if you pilfer it continuously for a long period of time (I'm thinking weeks/months, not days). I would be more worried about why you have have a bad cough for days.
(If you overdose on Tylenol, by the time you have any symptoms of liver damage, it is too behind time to do anything about it.) Source(s): pharmacology class
No, you're not going to die. You'd enjoy to take a stupidly huge amount of Tylenol to overdose.
I'd still cut back a little, because it's probably not the best for your body anyways.
don't worry. You hold taken slightly more than recommended for a short-time and it will have no nasty effect on you. As you note the more mass you own the less the effect of the drug.
Just relax, you'll be fine.
Good luck with your illness.
why the f u c k would u take Tylenol for a cough
transport Robitussin
and to over dose you would need to drink like 5 bottles
eat better and exercise margarine boy 16 235lbs dam!
and you wont get sick
your gunna be fine.
a short time ago chill.
it was a little much to take, but it won't do any reduce to rubble.
wow, chill out now. Seriously it will be ok. U didn't overdose right? so why would anything be wrong, and why the heck would you die from it?
I thinking your over reacting. If you have seriously diluted your liver you will know it. The whites of your eyes and your skin will begin to turn yellow. You can't really miss it. Stop taking it and you'll most likely be fine.
On the other foot I've known of people that have destroyed their liver from taking that stuff. Sometimes it affects race way more than others. People "do" die from tylenol-based liver damage so I would just stop using it surrounded by general. If you need to sleep try melatonin, chamomile tea, L-tryptophan and other natural sleep aides. As much as 16,000 culture a year have been reported to die from these over-the-counter pain relievers respectively year so why take the chance?
UR FINE! stop crying approaching a babby! my mom went thro that. she became just fine. look at the INSTRUSTIONS!
As long as your liver was okay to begin near, you'll be okay. But look at the label. It will tell you that if you take it for a abiding number of days and your cough hasn't cleared up, you should stop taking it and see a doctor. 3-4 days is long enough that you should see some results. If you're still coughing, you should get yourself checked out.
Even if it doesn't damage your liver, you could become dependent upon it for sleep.
call poison control and ask all these same questions. thats adjectives i can tell you
no as long as you keep the time that you took it spread out and you hold the recomended dose you should be okay.
The acetaminophen in the Tylenol can sometimes negatively affect the liver. However, it's more precarious to a person who already has a liver condition, hence the warning on the sign. If 12, or at least 8, hours have passed between doses, then you should be in the recommended dosages for most strengths. Taking an additional dose *BY ACCIDENT* shouldn't be cause for worry, unless logically you have any sort of liver disease, in which case you should strictly restriction the use of Tylenol. On the other hand, if the cough persists for another day or two, you should probably see a physician, as it could be relateon cloud nine source that may require prescription treatment. It is ok to use regular Tylenol during the day and PM at night, but again only for a predetermined amount of time before seeing a doctor.
That's not an overdose. Its close to taking 5 Motrin instead of the 4 (or whatever numbers) as a recommended daily dose. Unless you're drinking alcohol, you'll be fine.
Basically nought is gonna happen. You didn't really overdose. As long as you dont take too many other medicine of the same or conflicting class you';; be fine. Also dont drink alcohol, do drugs, etc... If you get strong stomach pain, drink a chalice or two of water and call 911. Call poison control for general info. Liver interfere with is one of the last complications of tylenol overdose, and can be prevented via an antidote or stomach pumping. Basically the probability that your liver will be damaged is near nought. Source(s): Paramedic
