Answers:
Medications don't all work the same for everyone. The doctor needs to see if a medication, not solitary works for an individual, but the level of that medication in your body.
Amytriptyline is usually prescribed for the treatment of depression. However, your doctor might think that the anxiety and shortness of breath are inferior to depression and will clear up as the depression lifts. If you are not feeling better in 4 weeks, see your doctor and describe him/her that you want an anxiolytic, such as one of the benzodiazepines. Source(s): Neuropharmacologist
I would use this as a last resort.

Anxiety is a response to a misfire of the brain. Makes you feel approaching there is impending danger.

Elavil is a brain changing chemical...seriously powerful.
I would try to work out your problems essentially not with head meds.

Talk to a couple of doctors not just the first one you be in motion to.

talk about it.
