I have had a multiple colonoscopies over the years because I enjoy a high risk of cancer. It is no big deal. I have never be sedated for this and I find I only experienced some moderate discomfort. I find being awake makes the doctor hold their time. I have had multiple polyps removed a couple of times and then drove myself home.
