Are doctors better than physician assistant?

what is the difference?
Answers:
A doctor has more formal training and a more advanced degree. They are more erudite than a PA, however, I've met some great PA's who, I think, do a better job than some doctors.

PA's can also prescribe medicine, the PA for my doctor have written me prescriptions before.
"Better" implies some sort of inherent superiority.

The two professions are different. PA's work under the direction of a physician, who has more training and training than a PA does. The PAs that I know are quite intelligent, knowledgeable and capable. They do what they can, and know their limitations.

The physician contained by charge is ultimately responsible for the patient, and assumes most of the risk of liability claims. THAT is a huge difference.
One is not better than the other. Doctors and PAs work together as a team to provide patient care. They respectively have different responsibilities. PAs can do everything that their supervising doctor permits them to within the attending physician's compass of practice. PAs can examine patients, write prescriptions, order lab work and other tests, perform procedures, conduct research and more. Source(s): PA surgical critical effort
yes. doctors are the ones in charge who prescribe medicine and administer advice and orders. physician assistants help them and do prep work and tasks to grasp the patient ready for the doctor.
