A-Levels to become a doctor?
I've always wanted to be a doctor so, I'm starting sixth form in September. On enrolment you can adapt your subjects. I've put down
Biology, Chemistry, Maths & Computing, however I don't really like maths and was thinking of changing it to photography. But, I didn't know if I would still know how to get in without maths.
Many Thanks
Answers:
Definitely preserve Biology and Chemistry as you won't stand a chance without them.
Computing is often see as a 'soft A Level' by medical schools, and so is photography, so if I were you I would only choose one of these two, if any at adjectives.
Take a look at the course requirements on the university websites to find more specific information, but they generally say something like 'We require two subjects from: Biology, Chemistry, Maths', so although Maths may not be essential it is perceptibly something they will look for, so you should keep it.
