What type of doctor would i see for chronic fatique?

I am always tired,it sound like i enjoy chronic fatigue.i don't think my internist handles this, what type of doctor would be best
Answers:
Go to your current pediatrician, and enjoy them refer you to the doctor they think will be best.
Usually you shift and see your primary doctor first. He/she does a workup on you and that will help decide what specialist you need if any. There are so abundant diagnoses that go with chronic fatigue syndrome that it could fall into the category of a neurologist, endocrinologist, psychiatrist, cardiologist or any of copious specialists.Depends on what your tests show and your primary knows you best so will know where to refer you if it is more complex. Good luck. Source(s): RN
Primary Physician - Family Doctor
Hi, I would stir to your regular doctor and get a very complete physical examination - next to blood work. There could be something such as a chemical imbalance that might be causing the problem - and that is efficiently treatable.

Other things that could be causing you to feel fatigued -
- are you under like mad of stress right now?
- are you sleeping well at night?
- could enjoy something like depression?
- are you taking any medications?

Best of luck to you :-)
Paul.
Your primary physician, whether an internist or an FP is the one to button this. If you go straight to a specialist, that could take you down the wrong path. Say you travel to an endocrinologist even though you have a problem with your heart. The endocrinologist will look into endocrinology problems and find nothing, and convey you back to your primary.
your primary physician will run the basic tests and nick a history and physical, and refer you to a specialist if necessary. Overuse of specialist care is one of the reasons healthcare is so expensive. Source(s): med student
In your diagnostic workup, you should see an Infectious Disease doc/diagnostician. If it turns out to not be infectious relatebeside yourself may be referred to a Rheumatologist, or Immunologist, who deal with a variety of autoimmune diseases.
you may want to seek the professional belief of an Endocrinologist. Your thyroids may be out of whack or you maybe suffering from anemia. In this system you also have glands, hormones, pancreas, etc...Start there and ask that they conduct a T3-T-4 Uptake/Thyroid Panel, Complete Metabolic Panel near Diff. and a CBC, as well. You need an A1c-for diabetes ck, and a Hepatic Function Panel, (Liver), Just a complete blood workup. This is an excellent start. Follow up with chest exam & E.K.G., a upright en do will have some answers sooner than later. Source(s): My job

I agree with the other postee that suggested going to one's relations doctor for general blood tests and such, however, perhaps bring back a referral to a rheumatologist. Hoping that you get some answers and some relief :)

Here is a website for general info though please do Not try to self-diagnose ;) http://www.cfids.org
an internist would start with a complete physical and blood work up
