An amputation is done when the body cog catches gangrene or starts rotting or something due to infection! It's done to save the rest of the body!

They immediately dispose past its sell-by date it, after appropriately treating it with disinfectants n all....
They are put in the "bio-medical waste" department for squander disposal along with blood stained bandages, syringes,feaces n stuff....

No! you can't get hold of it..and i suggest you don't try...infection might spread to another being too! you never know!

I guess it is cremated in an incinerator (i doubt if crematoriums allow).
