Post-colonoscopy misery?
my mom had colonoscopy at the hospital 3 days ago and had a polyp removed. after that, she was hiccuping profusely and had gastric pain as a result of abstaining from solid food for the procedure. we thought that would be common, but she still suffers from slight anguish at her gastric area. i wonder if that is common?

Tell her this is not the time to be a woman. Let 'em rip. They inflated her with CO2 and she should not hold back the farts. The pain be NOT from abstaining from food. It could be the gas or the fact that the bowels are finally filling with consume materials. As to whether it could be anything else, only the doctor would know that; since, I am sure she doesn't recall any of it.
