(UK) Question in the order of blood pressure procedure?
I had my blood pressure taken last October at my GP surgery. Now I am not sure whether the symptoms I now experience are due to the procedure or whether they be there before this and caused by something else.
After I have my blood pressure taken last October I had some numbness in the ends of my fingers (left arm be used for the cuff) which persisted for about 12 hours afterwards before my paw went back to normal. I am worried I am exceptional in that I had numbness for so long a period.
I enjoy put this down ever since to the doctor inflating the cuff to a higher than normal pressure and/or for too long a period of time in the past releasing it. The finger tips of my left hand now attain quite red and feel hot after I have be using them e.g. after using a computer mouse or carrying shopping bags or simply if I put my left arm vertically by my side I can feel the blood flowing to my finger tips whereas doing like thing with my right arm, the flow of blood to the fingers of my right hand does not seem to be to me to be as noticeable.
The only other cuases of my troubles I can think of are the reality that for 4 years I have used a computer mouse which has a scroll wheel on the top and perphaps I hold a type of injury from using this for so long. The other possible cause is that I owned a golden retriever for 14 years and because I am left handed (so I use the mouse near left hand) I used to hold the dog's lead loop in my gone hand and he used to pull me quite a bit so probably over the years caused my symptoms.
What do you think ?
Answers:
i don't think it's anything to do beside your blood pressure as you say you use ine hand all the timewhen i be younger and a blacksmith it has only just come to pale that this was my problem,i have to have cortisone injections every so recurrently to ease the pain,
smudge.
The circulation in the arm might be impair in some way. The BP test could own aggravated something but would not have caused it. If the symptoms persist or obtain worse or are severe, let your doctor know about it.
