There is probably several ways to interpret this. 1 Duplicate medication could be the generic form or it could be where companies are duplicating medication using chalk or other forms of ingredients that have ill or no effect on the tolerant. Counter site medicine i believe are drugs that are bought with out a prescription, OTC or over the counter drugs, if all else fail look it up on line or in a book :)
Usually, duplicate medication means you are on two medication that do the same thing. For example, you are taking both lisinopril and ramipril, which are both ACEI's used for treating high blood pressure. This may sometimes come to pass if you are seeing more than one doctor and they are not aware that you are already on an ACEI for HBP and prescribe you an ACEI not knowing your other doctor already prescribed it for you. When this happens, the patient is known to own duplicate medications.
Counter site medicine, I'm not too sure of what that is. I have need of to see how it's used in a sentence. I'm thinking it might be referring to a medicine that counteracts the effects that are brought about when a positive receptor is activated. For example, when you activate the alpha 1 receptors in your blood vessel, it will cause the blood vessels to constrict, which will increase your blood pressure. Therefore, there are drugs that are alpha 1 antagonists which blocks the alpha 1 receptors preventing the constriction of the vessel, thereby decreasing blood pressure. An example of an alpha 1 receptor antagonist is Prazosin. Source(s): 4th year pharmacy student
