How long will it rob to return with rotten ativan/lorazapam?
ive been taking 1mg of ativan/lorazapam just before bed for a year and partly. im trying to get pregnant so i decided i need to quit taking it. powerfully i just quit cold turkey about 2 wks ago and i was really nervous/shaky and couldnt sleep at adjectives. so i got back on it and took a whole pill for roughly speaking 4 days then have been taking freshly half of one now. im still nervous but not 24hours a time now, just ever other day or so. my grill is when i completly stop how long will i have these side effects, they are awful. please help, thanks

It is impossible to know exactly how long any debt will be. But for 1 mg of Ativan it should not be horribly long and it can be done with little discomfort. The biggest problem for people is they stop without taking to their doctor or the doctor does not know the proper bearing to stop benzodiazepines. So here is what is the most effective and lest painful way to cancel.
Firstly you need to switch from Ativan to Valium (diazepam). The reasoning is sort of complicated but basically Valium is less potent so it is easier to exceptionally gradually stop. 1 mg of Ativan is equivalent to about 10 mg of Valium (it can be a bit more/less for some people). Valium comes in 2 mg, 5 mg, and 10 mg tablets. So a 2 mg tablet (and that can be cut) of Valium would hand over you a lower dose than you could achieve using Ativan tablets (unless you make a guess and scratch bad a bit of Ativan powder from the tablet- not good. Valium is also very long acting. It has a partly life of about 1 day. Ativan have a very short half-life. Valium also has many alive metabolites (active compounds that are also benzodiazepines and will continue to act in the brain as the Valium breaks down- some hold a half-life of about 8 days). Ativan has no active metabolites.
Substituting Valium for Ativan is similar to replacing heroin near methadone. Methadone lasts for a long time so methadone might need to be taken once a day, even once every three days. Don't misunderstand, I don't propose to say your an addict only to compare the two drugs. In certainty long term use of benzo's, even at a low dose, causes some level of debt of about 50% of people. And when a drug is used for sleep often a psychological dependency occur where people feel they have need of a pill to sleep when they do not. Using Valium is also better because it maintains a more level blood concentration. Ativan spikes quickly and go down quickly.
Never go cold turkey with benzo's it would be amazingly rare at our dose, but major problems (some life threatening) can go down by stopping. People who stop cold turkey are far more likely to feel bad for a long time of time and have a higher rate of using the drug again, even if it is not medically needed.
And it is best to take your time and progress at your own pace for detox. Also the drug Librium (chlordiazepoxide) is also used as a substitute during withdrawal. It comes in 25, 10, and 5 mg. 25 mg of Librium is equal to 1 mg of Ativan and 10 mg of Valium.
To sum up switch to Valium, any 10 mg at night (that is best if insomnia is the big issue) or 5 mg in the morning and 5 mg at night. Wait in the region of 3-5 days and start to take less, you can be very slow and bring 4 mg of Valium twice daily (ie two 2 mg Valium tablets twice a day). You can basically just drop your dosage every 3-5 days by roughly 2 mg, or even 1 mg. Once at 1 mg (half a 2 mg tablet) you can cut it in half (a quarter of a pill) or just stop after a few days at one milligram. If you are wanting to step a bit faster then take 10 mg for 3 days then 5 mg for 3 days later 4, 3, or 2 mg for 2-5 days until you are ready to stop. What is important is to go at your own stride. Some people could go 10, 5, 2 ,1 very in the blink of an eye.
If you withdraw slowly then there is completely little risk of any post acute withdrawal syndrome. That means that even after withdrawing from the drug it could take some time for the brain to reset and amend to the loss of the drug. It is rare for this to happen to anyone stopping 1 mg of Ativan with a slow Valium taper lowers your risk even more.

I know (medically) how detox should be done according to scientific studies and based on protocols created for inpatient deduction. And I take the benzodiazepine Xanax (alprazolam) and I have taken almost every benzo on the market at small doses to really giant doses like 2.5 mg of Ativan four times a day. I never had any debt when I would decide I did not need it but I have like mad of experience.

I dont know about you but I have been on this tablets for 6 years at 1mg then 2mg, it is VERY difficult to stop, especially if you have even somewhat of a stressful life, when I run out one time, I could not do anything, nervous, shaky, couldn't eat, no sleep, heart beat pounding..this is not a tablets to be taken lightly...I was prescribed it by a doctor that told me it was not quirk forming, this being before I knew I could research the medication online..hence the origin I am on them today..I have had a very doomed to failure life, a lot of trauma and stress, ptsd, etc..so it depends on what condition they have you on them for within order to know whether or not you could really even stop them at all...or just whip a very small dose and try to live life with that...Ask your doctor if even a hugely small dose would harm your baby or your baby's birth etc.
Edit: I was once told that even after you stop taking Ativan the angst and anxiety can repeat itself not very extreme but can still be with you for months to maybe 1 or 2 years...this depends how long it's be in your system..I have been on it over 6 years very soon, you just being on it for 1 1/2 years, you shouldn't have that fruitless of a after effect when you stop this medicine..
