I would like to know the different medical degree titles and their primary function that they provide. M.D., Ph. D, Ed. D, and Psy. D.

MD and DO are the only medical degree. a PhD can be given in any field. Ed D is education (again, not medicine) and PsyD is clinical psychology, a relateecstaticd but again, not a medical degree.
You can lump a DPM in as a medical degree although is is fixed to only one field, the knee on down.
