How Many MG does it run to overdose on Meclizine?
Have had horrible undiagnosed nausea for the past 2 years. Meclizine is the only meds that abet. Dr prescribed 2, 25mg tablets every 6 hours.
Since I have been taking them for so long I have built up a tolerance to them. Lately I've be able to take 2 along with some Maalox (sp) and it does the trick. But not today.
A few months ago I asked my doctor what the max mg I can appropriate per day is, and he said to call poison control. So today I called, and she said since I'm already taking more than prescribed (5 within about an hour) she has no information for me. wtf?
Anyone have any clue?
I'm a White Female, 24 years mature, 5'7 and I weigh about 125lbs.

Although the above statement may be from the drug's website, it is important not to misinterpret why you are taking Meclizine. You should not own been having horrible nausea for more than two weeks. Two years is incomprehensible, and your doctor should have done more. Instead of worrying roughly speaking an overdose, you should concentrate on finding the source of your nausea. Whether it be uclers, food allegries, gastric intestinal problems, or a special source, solving your problem will do more good for you then to keep taking Meclizine. Not to mention it will salvage you money in the long run.
Dosage And Administration: Adults: The recommended dose for specific indications is: Motion Sickness: A single dose of 25 to 50 mg affords protection against motion sickness for approximately 24 hours. The initial dose should be taken at least 1 hour prior to traveling in charge to insure absorption of the drug, as retention of the medication is uncertain in individuals who enjoy already developed motion sickness. Thereafter, the dose may be repeated every 24 hours as indicated for the duration of the journey.
Labyrinthine and Vestibular Disturbances: The optimal dosage is usually 25 to 100 mg daily in divided doses, depending on the clinical response.
Radiation Sickness: 50 mg administered 2 to 12 hours prior to radiation treatment.
Children: Children require roughly speaking one half the adult dose.
The fruit-flavored tablets may be chewed, swallowed whole or allowed to dissolve contained by the mouth.
Availability And Storage: Each scored, white, fruit-flavored tablet contains: meclizine HCl 25 mg.
