Doing surgery on a soul?

yes i have a question when someone is dead, when they bring the body to a certain place and do surgery on it. what is the persons postion called within that place. im watching ncis . so tell me cause i don't know.

They take the body to the morgue and do an autopsy, also call post-mortem examination. This is performed by a pathologist.
