Can you... crush pills up, roll them, and smoke them?
I know that sounds really stupid but my friend is asking, not me.

Negative captain, that's hella disgusting. While you may be able to get away beside smoking pure drug, there are far too many inactive pill binders and other stuff within pills to be able to smoke it. You'll end up with beside a black, charred, nasty mess. And although it isn't mentioned in your question, snorting them is jinky for similar reason. Just eat them... you can crush them up before doing so if you like for possible quicker effects.
